Hey! I'm Dave 👋

and I want you to have a FREE print from my Collection!

Recognized & Trusted By

For years, I pushed my creativity aside, work, responsibility, and “real life” took over. But becoming a dad made me realise how much of my own imagination I’d lost along the way. Picking up a paintbrush again didn’t just change my art… it changed me. Now I create pieces that help adults reconnect with the joy, colour, and playfulness we all used to live in.

I was desperate to break free, I had just become a father.

Suddenly, I wanted more than just work, I wanted to be present. To be with my son.

Art was my first love.

As a kid, cartoons were my world.

I’d draw whenever I could, free and unrestrained.

After studying art for many years in school and college, life pushed me into the catering industry, where creativity was confined by orders and timing.

When I started this collection, I was chasing that lost freedom.

I picked up the brush again after 20 years away and just started, no direction and no clear out come.

Eventually I managed to find my style again, bold solid colours and clean lines.

A nod to graffiti, street art and the cartoonists who inspired me when I was younger.

The paintings focus on cartoon characters’ hands, familiar yet different.

They have tattoos, gold watches, grown-up touches on childhood icons.

It’s a reminder that even those who grew up can hold onto their youth inside.

Finishing the largest piece, I felt it, a moment of pride.

“Wow. I did that.”

It wasn’t just painting.

It was a reclaiming of myself and the artist within me.

If there’s one thing I hope people take away, it’s this it’s,

Never grow up.

Keep your inner youth alive.

Because that child inside is where true freedom lives.

‘Hand’made icons collection

The ‘Hand’made icons collection is a collection of four acrylic paintings that have evolved from the idea of transition, the gradual change from childhood to adulthood and the ever present feeling of not wanting to grow old.

These pieces are the perfect nostalgia you need to remedy that feeling.

As many of us did I grew up on cartoons from the 80’s & 90’s.

At every chance I could I would would try and draw these icons, almost gods in our young eyes.

To forget them would be sacrilege.

Whether it was playing a Super Nintendo to watching a famous bunny on Saturday morning, to a hungry cookie eating monster on a run down street or watching the stupidest man in Springfield, these are all memories we tend to forget.

It doesn’t have to be that way and that is what I try to portray through this collection.

The child in us never really dies!

Giving away a free print helps me do exactly that.

It gets my art into real homes, on real walls, and into the hands of people who genuinely connect with what I create.

There’s something powerful about that.

Art is meant to be shared, not hidden away — and this offer lets me reach more people who feel the same spark of joy, nostalgia, and playfulness that I felt when I painted these pieces.
